How Vector Logistics cut days of manual SAP work with Alteryx and the DVW Connector for SAP
Vector Logistics is a South African food sales, distribution and logistics business. Its Sales and Merchandising Analytics team supports the field teams who manage retail merchandising call cycles, and they needed to update those cycles faster.
The challenge
Keeping call cycles current meant manually extracting and consolidating data from SAP and reworking it in Microsoft Excel Power Query. That took the team around four days every month, and it was slow to respond whenever the data changed.
The solution
Vector adopted Alteryx with the DVW Alteryx Connector for SAP, deployed with reseller Keyrus. SAP data is now read directly into Alteryx workflows, removing the manual extract-and-consolidate step entirely.
The outcome
The team cut roughly four days of manual work each month and made call-cycle updates around 50% faster, with better accuracy. What had been a technical chore became a repeatable, self-service workflow the business runs itself.
