Two approaches to SAP Process Automation

DVW Analytics products support automation at two distinct layers of the SAP stack. Both can be combined in a single workflow.

UI-layer automation: DVW RPA Tools for SAP

The DVW RPA Tools for SAP automate SAP GUI and SAP Fiori web-based tasks by recording and replaying SAP interface interactions within Alteryx, KNIME, or DVW Flow Tool workflows. Record-and-replay functionality means business users can capture their existing SAP processes without writing code. This covers SAP transactions and reports that do not expose a direct API, or where the existing SAP GUI process needs to be preserved as-is for governance or configuration reasons.

API-layer automation: DVW write-back via BAPI, IDoc and OData

The DVW Connectors for SAP and DVW Flow Tool support write-back to SAP using standard SAP APIs. Analytics and data workflows built in Alteryx, KNIME, Dataiku, or DVW Flow Tool can create and update SAP master data and transactional data, post to SAP BW, write to SAP IBP, and trigger SAP workflows, without requiring custom ABAP development.
