Normally your flows run on a schedule. This flips it around. SAP sends the signal, and the instant a record changes it calls your flow and hands it the event. Change a customer and the flow fires in seconds to screen them against a sanctions list and write the result back into SAP. Save a sales order and the same thing happens. A DVW function module hooks into standard SAP extension points, a business transaction event or a user exit, and runs asynchronously so it never blocks the user who hit save.

Did you pay for what you ordered and received? A single purchase order touches more than 20 SAP tables, so this demo reads the whole purchase-to-pay flow in one pass: requisition, purchase order header and items, order history, the material documents behind each goods receipt, and the invoice documents behind each invoice. One flow, then two front ends off it. First Power BI, as a line-by-line reconciliation of ordered, received and invoiced, with filters that pull out the quantity and value discrepancies worth chasing, and a drill-back that calls into SAP for the receipt and invoice line detail. Then the same numbers again as a web app that nobody wrote by hand: Claude built it from the flow configuration metadata alone, never seeing any SAP data. The AI built the front end, it does not run inside it. Same governed data, two front ends, no second pipeline.

One flow, then two front ends off it. First Power BI, as a line-by-line reconciliation of ordered, delivered and billed, filtered straight to the exception that matters most: lines delivered but not yet billed, which is revenue earned and not yet collected. Then the same numbers again as a web app, developed interactively with Claude from the flow's column names alone, with Claude never seeing any SAP data. DVW Flow Tool - Round-Trip SAP and Snowflake from One Worksheet
The real prize when you run SAP and Snowflake is a round trip. From a Snowflake worksheet, one statement runs a flow and lands SAP data as a table, with no stage and no setup and proper named columns. Because the flow wraps an existing SAP transaction, the business logic is already applied and it runs on the user's own SAP authorizations. Prepare financial postings in Snowflake and the same call posts them straight back into SAP as real documents, returning the document number and an audit trail. Both directions go through the Flow Tool Server and the SAP application layer, so nothing touches the SAP database directly. You can also drive it from the Flow Tool side on a schedule or inside a pipeline you already run.
